A couple months ago I attended a workshop you gave at the Erie Jazz Festival and caught your performance with Rachel Z. It was a killer performance. I also enjoy your cd's that I have; Griot Liberte is great. As a fellow bassplayer, I have a tough act to follow, but your work serves as a source of inspiration. Hope to see you in Erie again!

Dear Mr Williams, I´m living up here in the north of Sweden, with at this point a light snow cover and 0 degrees C (can´t translate to your usual F in my head). I liked Lost in memory so well that I ordered the Stefon Harris BlackAction record and find this nice also. I´m now waiting for the Internet dealer to provide me with the Montreux -99 CD, then I will be able to listen to a different quartet. Look forward to this and to more releases from you next year. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Regards from Per-Olof

Hi Buster, I attended the Charles Hotel concert on 11/2/03, supporting as a photographer for the Seikyo Shimbun. I have to tell you your extended solo was absolutely mesmerizing. The entire room was hypnotized, transported somewhere else. We were floating on every musical nuance and expression. You must've been fairly tired from the extensive traveling you've been on, nevertheless, it was a magnificent, moving performance. Thank you.

Just saw you tonight(Sunday, Feb. 2) at the Iridium On Broadway in NYC. I was the lady in black who approached you while you were setting up for the last show, and who thanked you for your wonderful performance. Thanks again! You were all that and more... Larry's drums were a little too sharp-sounding, though, with a 'clanging' sound. It distracted me from an otherwise great gig you guys put on. Thanks!!

I saw you years ago at Ronnie Scotts playing with the Herbie Hancock Sextet. It was one of th most memorable experiences I have had. I can remember you taking time to talk to me about my own bass playing and introducing me to the pickup you were using. I have been an admirer of you playing for many years. What impresses me is that you can play with many different musicians with a wide range of approaches and styles you not only fit in but you instantly know its you playing adding so much to the music etc. Make you continue to bring great music and playing to our ears.

Very nice webite. Recently i saw one of your concerts on video, it was at "Palais des Congrès" in Liege in '95. That time, you where a member of the GONZALO RUBALCABA TRIO, with drummer Julio Barreto. It was a fabulous concert with a unique line-up. Actually i've got a question about this gig! Have you ever made any recordings with the three of you?

Hey Buster, I like your site updates, and wish the music would continue playing at each page !! But I realize that is difficult. Keep happy. Peace, Becky

Congratulations on your newly renovated web site. Any plans of playing in Vancouver? The autographed picture you sent me two years ago, when my wife and I were still in the Philippines, continues to adorn our bedroom. I wish you continued good health, strength and inspiration.
